Power Flushing F.A.Q

How long does Power Flushing Take?

Power Flushing is normally completed in one day but in most cases the process takes five hours.**

How much does it cost?

Prices start from £330

Can Power Flushing cause leaks?

Power Flushing doesn’t cause leaks but occasionally during the process of removing debris from within the system small pin holes can be uncovered. We can quote for repairs and often repair the same day. It is much safer to have a leak in a controlled environment with an engineer present rather than find a leak in the morning or after you return from holiday.

I’m having a new boiler fitted, do I need a Power Flush?

Some boiler manufactures insist that old heating systems be thoroughly flushed before installing a new boiler and may even make it a term of the warranty. This standard can only be met by Power Flushing.

How Does Power Flushing work

The power flushing pump is simply connected in to the heating system, either across standard circulator pump couplings, across the tails of one radiator, or wherever most practicable. The powerful flow, combined with instantaneous flow reverser device, will dislodge and mobilise deposits and corrosion which resist traditional system cleaning methods.
Once the corrosion and sludge deposits have been loosened and mobilised, fresh clean water is then forced through the heating system, pushing the contaminated water out through a full bore dump valve to waste. During the process , radiators are individually flushed, without removing or disconnection from the system, by directing the full output of the pump through each radiator separately.
At the end of the flushing process, the system contains fresh clean water and reinstatement of the system to normal operation takes only a few minutes.

Does your heating system, suffer from circulation and boiler noise?
If it does the probable cause is sludge and corrosion deposits inside your system.

How do you clean your system and remove the sludge and corrosion deposits?
The answer is power flushing.

What is power flushing?
Power flushing is a process which uses water at high velocity but low pressure, (so that no physical damage is caused to the system) to safely remove these deposits and return your heating system to optimum working. The process can be made even more effective by using powerful cleaning agents such as FX2 or HYPER-FLUSH

Fitting a new system?
Power flushing in conjunction with SYSTEM PRE-CLEAN removes all flux, swarf and other debris, giving your heating system the best start in life.

Fitting a new boiler?
Today’s modern boilers, developed to minimise fuel costs and pollution, are more likely to develop problems caused by debris in the water. Power flushing the system before fitting a new boiler removes all the sludge and debris, which if left in the system can accumulate in the heat exchanger of the new boiler causing noisy operation, reduced efficiency and reduce the life of your new boiler.
